The Detroit Pistons 2020/21 campaign served as an aligned visual voice for Pistons digital, broadcast, marketing, and in-arena communication platforms.

BUSINESS OBJECTIVES:

 

• Give fans fresh and compelling reasons to attend each of the season’s 44 home games • Promote the sale of single game tickets • Drive engagement on social media and other digital channels • Create a consistently best-in-class in arena experience for fans • Drive game broadcast tune-in • Cultivate excitement around the 2020/21 Pistons team and optimism about the franchise’s future • Drive retail sales • Capitalize on player access during Spurs media day  to capture omnichannel creative needs for the entire season

 

ACTIVATION TACTICS:

 

• Partnered with local street artists, Los Otros Murals, to envision and produce media day set and campaign creative toolkit • Led planning, setup, staffing, scheduling, and execution for each Brand Engagement media day set • Collaborated with Famous Group to envision and produced game open hype video • Activated themed games around bobbleheads, Star Wars, Selena, Flashback Friday, Hispanic heritage, and Indigenous culture • Created turnkey core and theme night graphic packages for social media, in-arena, and omnichannel marketing needs • Developed wheatpaste inspired poster series for all Spurs players and NBA opponents as element of campaign toolkit • Designed limited edition retail capsule collections in support of Hispanic heritage, Selena, and indigenous theme games
